An has worked for Pfizer since September 2003 as GMP training coordinator for the manufacturing site in Puurs. She is responsible for GMP training processes and culture change projects. These projects aim to increase the involvement and engagement of employees while encouraging quality and good manufacturing practices. An has also been involved in defining training needs for the site and in designing & delivering training programs as well as defining training systems and strategies. In the past, An has helped with various charity events. After several visits to developing countries she is now looking forward to contributing something in a broader context. She hopes to share her Pfizer expertise and contribute in a way that supports the specific needs of local organizations.

On assignment with USAID, An will work with the procurement & stores management team to build their capacity. She will assist with training to address: security issues related to warehousing and national supply chain, will be involved with review procedures, and will help to develop and implement a reliable procurement planning process. In addition, she will work to improve staff functions for Central Medical Stores.

From her GHF experience, An hopes to develop a more global perspective and learn new approaches, particularly while working with other cultures in constrained environments.
